This fall designers pay homage to the best of beauty past. This season proves that the iconic styles and silhouettes of the yesterday can rival even the hottest looks of today. Looks from the 40’s, 60’s, and 70’s are recreated to appeal to the modern woman. I love fall and I love mixing retro pieces with my everyday basics and this perfect season to have a little fun.
Flashback to the 1940's when it was all about the dress. Structured or flowing, printed and tied with pussy bows, choose a great dress with a 40's vibe and wear it with a ladylike bag and a pair of ankle strap heels. Make room for ultra MOD looks from the 1960's. Simple sheath dresses in bold or blocked colors. Ankle length cigarette pants paired with flats with brightly colored lids and bold defined lashes. We still love the laid back look of 1970's Luxe, pair platform pumps or loafers with wide leg trousers, floppy felt hats, button up shirts with faux fur vests and maxi skirts.

5 Tips on Shopping the Trends 1. Don't take it too literally 2. Put your own spin/style on it 3. Unless you LOVE it - don't buy something so trendy you can't wear again. 4. Just because something is a “trend” doesn’t mean it looks good – (think Harem pants) 5. Take a child (under 10 shopping). They’ll tell you how you really look.
